last weekend we had the opportunity to take Gracie to Disneyland and boy did she have the best time ever! we left early morning, got there right when it opened up and we were able to walk on most of the rides without any lines or long wait! we love going early morning because like i said before, we get to hop right on the rides without any lines or wait! it was so fun seeing gracie get so excited about EVERYTHING.

we love the movie Princess and the Frog! i loved her dress too.. it was the prettiest color.

we had such a fun trip last weekend! and there will be LOTS more too! we cant wait to go again in a couple weeks!

recently, i was able to go to UT for my friend Jenn's wedding and to go visit family. it was so fun to see my friends and family for a little bit. Ty wasn't able to come with me because of work, so we missed him being there with us. i left early about 4 am saturday morning so i could drive all the way through with out hitting any traffic and the girls would sleep for most of it. it was my first time driving 10 hours just me and my girls, but the girls did great, and my car ran perfectly with no complications. we had such a great time, and time always goes by way too fast. i got to UT by 1:00 so we headed up first thing to my familys ranch. the ranch was what i looked forward to most on my trip. it was beautiful up there and i can never get enough of being up in the mountains so i went about every other day up there. spring time up there is so fun, new baby horses being born every year and they are ADORABLE! we had two new baby horses join the ranch and they are so dang cute. gracie loved the baby horses so she would always get so excited to go up to the ranch. i miss having beautiful mountains around here, i dont get to see that now since i live in CA. during my trip, i went on a couple of horse rides also which i miss like crazy. i grew up with horses and riding horses was a big part of my life, i LOVED riding and working with horses. i will definitely miss it.

thurs night was Jenns reception. she looked beautiful and so happy. i hadn't met scott while they were dating, but i heard great things about him. jenn has always been one of my best friends and it was so fun seeing one of my close friends get married. i know scott is a great guy from all the things i had heard and when i met him at their reception, i thought he was awesome. i wish Jenn and Scott and life time of happiness and i am so happy for them. i will miss having jenn close to me,and hope one day we can live by each other!

also, while on my trip i was able to meet up with other friends. one of my friends who i miss way too much is my friend Jess Hinkson. we were friends in high school on our dance team, and ever since she has been one of my best friends. she has two cute adorable kids around the same ages as mine, so its fun to be able to share being a mom with her! she is one of the strongest women i know. she has been such a good strong example to me and i look up to her so much. when i left UT to move to CA she was in the hospital from appendicitis and a miscarriage all at the same time so i was sad i couldnt say good bye to her, so it made me super excited to see her when i came home and to talk to her about everything. i love her so much and she will always be one of my best friends.

also, one of my best friends Amanda who i grew up with is getting married in August. it was fun to see her and talk about wedding plans. i cant wait to be there for her wedding and her fiance is a good fun guy and i am super happy for them and cant wait for them to experience married life! i want them to know i love them and wish i could be closer to them, but i am excited to be there for their big day!

then i got to see my dear friend Jen who is engaged to one of tys best friends. we went to dinner at gurus which is soooo good and i loved seeing what she has planned for her wedding! i just love her and think she is an amazing and beautiful person! she is just darling and has such a positive outlook on everything and knows how to have fun! i love people who know how to make life fun. im thankful for her kindness and friendship. i wish we could be there for the wedding, but we will be gone on a rohm family vacation during their wedding.. sadly. but GREAT NEWS! they are moving to Santa Barbara after the wedding and so they will be closer! when Jen told me they are moving there, i immediately jumped for joy knowing we would have friends from UT closer! Santa Barbara is about 2.5 hours away but hey, its WAY closer! i cant wait to come on over and have beach days!! woohoo!

then i got to see Brianne. she is wonderful and i love her. she has been one of my best friends since elementary school and she is so great! i have always looked up to her and i miss her. she is just down to earth and real. thats what i love most about her. thanks for always being my friend bri and i love you. we havent been able to hang out much the past couple years, but you'll always be one of my good friends. cant wait to see you again!

and my sis in law Kassi. when i first met her i was so excited when my brother asked her out and i was hoping they would start dating! lol. but its true. i really was so excited, because she was so easy to be around and would be a good fit for my brother. it was so fun to hang out with her while on my trip and talk to her about life and marriage and everything else. shes beautiful and one amazing woman. and i hope she knows how much i look up to her and admire her for who she is. i always felt like i have a close relationship with her where we can talk about anything and i will miss her and tanner a lot.

i miss my family a lot. it was so fun to see how much my family loves my two little girls. thankyou for making my trip so fun and i miss all of you guys. especially how you love Grace and Summer and for all of your help you have given us. i think the world of all of you, and im lucky to be a part of our family. and my girls are lucky to have you in their lives. i love all of you.

a lot of fun things have been happening lately. we have had a lot of things going on and its been a blast. this past week, i had the chance to go down this weekend to las vegas and spend it with my in laws, my sister in law Kirsti and her husband live there. ty couldn't make it with work. so i packed up the girls and i, and we headed down to vegas for conference weekend. it was fun to see my in laws and spend the time with them. i left friday early morning and came back sunday morning. it just so happened that it was my Sister in law Kaitlans birthday, so we got to celebrate her birthday with her! she turned 23. gracie had a blast with her cousins and they played and played non stop. friday night we all hung out at the house, celebrating kaitlans birthday with cake and ice cream and enjoying each others company. saturday, my mother and father in law showed up just in time to watch conference. my mother in law Karen had fun holding and playing with summer and grace. then later that night, we went to an outdoor mall, right off of the strip and did some shopping. after that, we headed back to the house and put the kids to bed, while some of us went back down to the strip to catch the water show at the Bellagio and walk around exploring some of the hotels. the Bellagio had the prettiest spring time display with all butterflys. it was amazing what they do with it. it was a fast trip, but i had a ton of fun. thanks for a FUN weekend! Another fun thing that happened was, my new nephew was born! Mckay Joseph Harmon. he weighted 7 lbs and came a week early, but robbie said that he is doing really well and couldnt be better. i head down to Arizona in two weeks and i can't wait to meet my new nephew. Another thing happened. my Brother Tanner got into Med school at the U of U in SLC. what an accomplishment! its so hard for white males to get into med school in the U.S., but he got accepted and is super excited. i am so excited for him and Kassi, how awesome is that?! another thing, My sweet little summer has started crawling! she is growing up too fast. she is my little angel and i love her so much. where does time go?

life in Bakersfield is going wonderfully! i love it here and i honestly can say i don't miss Utah much, but i do miss my family and all my friends up there. ive met some really nice women in my ward, and i think the reason i have learned to love it here so quickly is because of the women in my ward. they have made me feel right at home and made me feel really welcomed here. they have already invited me to do things, even though i havent been able to attend some of the things because my kids and my husband working late, i appreciate everything and look forward to the next activity and want to go to everything going on! so i wanted to say thank you so much for showing me friendship and kindness being new to this whole place. i have pretty much learned my way around this area, and its such a nice feeling to not have to use my gps for once.which i am surprised i have learned it all so quickly. on the other hand, Ty's job is going GREAT! he is doing really well, and has already made a good impression on his bosses! ty has always had lots of ambition from the day i met him. i knew he would do whatever it takes to succeed and achieve success, and that a huge quality i admire and look for. while ty is hard at work every day, my days have consisted of taking grace to parks.. we probably head on over to the park about every other day, and taking trips to the mall. when you're new, theres not a whole lot to do yet. but im finding new things to do every day. i am thankful that we live here in Bakersfield, and i know that i will be happy here!

so we FINALLY received a job!! we are thrilled and couldnt be MORE excited! we are moving to Bakersfield California! ty starts his job on Feb 28, but i will go down March 12. we know this is the right job for us. it all happened so fast. only within in one day speaking to the company and having one interview, they immediately hired us. when we were trying to get other jobs, it was such a long process and we would be waiting to hear back from job after job after job, the night before we got this job offer, we had pretty much given up on looking for jobs and looking into what grad schools to go to so we could do a career change. the lord works in mysterious ways and we knew that if we kept having faith that he would give us a job, and he did. this is going to be a huge sacrifice for me, but i know this is where the lord wants us to go and where we need to raise our family.i will miss my family and my friends so much, but im ready to take on this new adventure. i can't thank our heavenly father enough for putting this exact job in our hands and we are being blessed tremendously. heres to a good future!

today gracie and i had a mommy daughter outing. Summer had fallen asleep while we watched the byu basketball game up at my parents lastnight and my mom wanted to keep her during the night so gracie and i got to have our own morning/afternoon togteher. we spent the whole morning watching movies (cinderella is her favorite). we then went to get some ice cream at coldstone and headed over to the bean museum at byu to go see the animals and run around. i love my mornings and afternoons with gracie! she makes life so much fun and i love being her mommy!

this past month so far has been filled with a lot of family activities..

this past week my Nanny came to town on her way up to Idaho and she loved spending time with her newest great grand daughter :) it was so fun having her here and i miss her already!

also, this past week we had a bridal shower up at my family's ranch for my soon to be sister in law Kassi. the shower was a hit and everyone made it so much fun. my aunts did a wonderful job in setting everything up and having a nice lunch before opening the gifts.

and thanks to markell for putting together a fun game of how well kassi and tanner knew each other.. it was so fun to see what they both said when answering the questions.

and the other day we just took a fun trip up to south jordan to see the witches up at Gardner village before everything gets crazy during the month of october.

Sorry i have been MIA on my blog for a while now, but i am going to get better at posting more on my blog. wow i cant believe how fast time goes by. it seems just yesterday i was in the hospital about to give birth to summer. summer was born a month ago on July 6 and she has changed so much already, it amazes me. she is so much more alert now and observant. when you talk to her or kiss her cheeks, she responds immediately, it is so cute and so fun. she smiles a lot now too it is so sweet. whenever i sing to her or just talk to her she looks right at me and smiles a few times. she loves taking warm baths and being in her bouncer all the time, and she loves to be snuggled up close. i thought life with two kids was going to be hectic and i was so nervous to come back home, but its the best thing. she has already gotten a little bit bigger and you can finally see some roundness on her face and her legs. when she was born she was only 6'4 and she is growing so much. gracie loves being a big sister and i cant keep her away from the baby. she always is giving her kisses or wants to hold her. i love seeing my two girls together and i love seeing how much gracie loves her too.

so last monday i had my doctors appointment for a regular check up with the baby and maybe decide what i want to do as far as delivery. i told my doctor i wanted to be induced a week early for several reasons and he was totally fine with it. so he said that next week i will be checked to se if i am dialated any and if my cervix is softened, (second pregnancy is a lot easier and faster). with all that, we decided that July 6 he will start me. IM SO EXCITED! only 2 1/2 more weeks till Summer Brooke arrives!

so lately i have had a lot on my mind and a lot to be thankful for. as ty has worked his career since last may, i NEVER have time to see him in the day. he works 65 + hours a week, sometimes more than that, depending on what work needs to be done saturdays. being a mother raising one child, soon to be 2, its not easy having a husband who is not around much to help. i sometimes let myself get angry at the fact that having a husband in the construction field takes away his time from our family and leaves me alone all day raising two kids. even though its something i have had to accept in my life, i have to remember that he is working to make life better for me and grace and i am so greatful that he is someone who is willing to work that hard to take care of me and our children. i hate that his work takes him away from being able to spend time with me, but i cant be upset that he works hard to provide for me. every minute i can get with him is precious and i thank god every day for putting ty in my life. marriage to ty has been such a blessing and that i was meant to be married to him. receiving eternal marriage from god is the greatest gift anyone could ask for. my heart aches for the people i know who dont get to have that and aren't worthy to recieve amazing blessings from it. i am married to my best friend and i couldn't be more happy. also being a mother to gracie and little summer who will be here soon, i cant believe how blessed i am to have these two precious children in my life. i cant imagine my life without them and how much it has changed everything. i know that being a mother of two is right where im supposed to be and supposed to be doing. there is so much i want to express to everyone about things in my life, but a lot of it is personal and sacred to me. i cant wait to bring another child into my family and i know she will be loved just as much as grace is.
lately ty and i have been talking about when our lease is up, that we want to purchase our first home. i am so excited for this but we want to first see where tys job will put us once this project on the I-15 in american fork wraps up in July. i cant wait to see what our future holds and i know its going to be wonderful.

Rohm-A-palooza

so the past week we had all of tys family come in from all over the country (literally) for a snowboarding trip the guys all put together. all 8 kids came and it was a blast to be together with all of tys family. it was so fun because i get to spend time with my inlaws and get to know them more and more. Tapie, the oldest, flew in from S. Carolina thursday to monday, trevor drove up with his son T.J. from new mexico, tucker and his family came in from Boise, Kirsti flew in from Vegas, and then kaitlan and taylor came in from rexburg idaho. its every so often everyone can get together so this was a special time and i enjoyed every minute of it. mostly everybody stayed at Terrells house and we would go over every night to have dinner and play games with everyone. when the rohms get together it is chaos! but its so fun to have inlaws who make every night so fun and filled with laughs. i am definitely lucky to be a part of the Rohm family and i am proud to be a rohm!

so call me old fashioned, but lately the past month, i have been trying to catch late night shows of "I Love Lucy" every night. i find her to be so incredibly funny and every episode i am gauranteed a good laugh out of it. seeing as how there is so much trash on tv these days, its refreshing to find a show i know i can enjoy and not wanting to change the station every 15 minutes.

since ive become a mom, this winter has been a challenge for me to actually get up get ready and go do something rather than just stay home. ha! i so dont look forward to walking outside in the cold while being pregnant and carrying a child in my arm down 3 flights of stairs and then out to the car. belive it or not, but its a ton of work and i become exhausted by the time i get to my car. So, since i actually forced myself to look nice, got grace ready for the day i dropped her off at my moms house while i met up with my friend tiffany who i dont get to see much because of her classes. so we met up at brick oven in provo for lunch, hit the mall for a little bit of shopping, and then watched a movie. it was so good to catch up with her and spend time with one of my best friends since she is moving in april back to texas for good and is never coming back. i will definitely miss having my best friend here.

as you all know, i am currently 4 months pregnant. so about two days ago, i started feeling our baby kick and move around. i didnt realize how much i missed having that happen untill tonight. its very reassuring to me that everything is ok, and it usually at night when the baby is most active in my tummy and i love knowing the fact that so far the baby is healthy and nothing is wrong. i am so greatful i have been given the blessing of motherhood and have children of my own with my husband. i already love this new baby so so much and i cant stop thinking of how fun it will be with 2 kids of my own! its definitely going to be more challenging and tons more work, but when you love your kids so much, it doesnt even matter. also, i have been so patient in waiting till march to know what we are having, but i dont know if i can wait anymore!

work conference

so this last weekend i got the privelege to attend tys work conference in scottsdale AZ, which they were hosting it for spouses or a guest that was invited to attend. it was such a new experience because i have never been to anything like it. although for ty it was just meeting after meeting and it was more of a relaxing weekend for me. we got to stay at the scottsdale conference and resort center which was top of the line hotel, the nicest by far i have ever gotten to stay at. for every meeting we had to dress up as fancy as can be and they served us with gourmet lunches, dinners, everything you could ask for. On friday, since i didnt have to go to every meeting with ty i got to relax in our room and just do whatever i wanted. at night after a big dinner, botht he nights they hosted a vegas style and mardi gras party. this was the first time i have ever beena round where about 90 percent of the people smoke cigars and drink, so it was hard to stick around the parties. saturday i had the chance to attend the spousal event where we got to go to a stuffed bear factory and make stuffed animals for sick children at the phoenix childrens hospital, then afterwards got treated to a nice lunch where i got to meet all the girls of the the other workers with Kiewitt. they then gave us a nice tiffanys silver heart bracelet for coming to the conference. it was an event i will never forget. i hope i can go next year as well. i am so greatful my husband works for an amazing company and seeing how professional all the people there are, makes us even more greatful we are with such a respectful company.

so its about time i update my blog. its been a while that i have had time to get things done because of finals, but now since thats over and i will have more time to write here. there hasn't been much going on with our little family because everyone has been so busy with every day life but we have quite a few things worth talking about. as you all know, i made it public last month, i am pregnant. with this pregnancy it has been really tough on me. i have been going through intense episodes of nausea, but it likes to happen to me at 1 or 2 in the morning so i wake up sick as can be. with grace i was just extremely tired, but this one is totally opposite. lovely isnt it. as of this week i am 11 weeks along. i went to the doctor two weeks ago and they did an ultrasound to see the baby and see the heartbeat. at first they tried to do a normal ultrasound to see the baby, but it was too small so they had to do a different kind of ultrasound to get closer up to the baby. it was a little scary at first when h told me he couldnt see anything so had to do it the harder way, but luckily the cute little baby is in there with a great heart beat. i am so lucky rightnow the baby is healthy as can be, but there is still a chance something could happen so lets just cross our fingers. i guess nausea is a good sign that everything is going well, so its not all that terrible :) we would love to have another girl again so it saves us lots of time and money for now, but a boy would be exciting. i am due July 13th now.

Ty has been working hard with his job. at his job about two weeks ago, they received some not so good news. the new project on the I-15 they bidded for, they didn't get it. they told all of their employees that since they dont have that job now, people need to worry about keeping their job. it has been tough for ty and he has been working so hard to hang in there and keep his job. but so far, things are looking up and we dont feel so stressed out about losing the job that provides for our family. im sure alot of praying and temple attendance has been a reason things have been going ok. we know the lords hand is in all things and he looks out for all of us. we can see the help of the lord in tys job helping ty to be able to meet all his goals he needs to in order to stay with this company.

Gracie is such a sweetheart. she such a fun, sweet, loving child and i think it brings me to tears when i look at her because i know that i mean so much to her. i can see it in her face. she is definitely growing up and staying healthy. she has brought so much joy into our lives and home and i wouldnt have it any other way. she can walk now and say words and point to things she wants. she is also "baby" crazy and loves other babies esp at church. sh is always having to play with another baby her age and its so fun to see her interact with other children her age.

Well we are trying to get ready for christmas and things keep coming up so in the mean time, ill keep updating on all our experiences.

today, my mom, cousin hillary, and i went to gardner village in West Jordan to see the witches! it was my first time up there during halloween season and we had a blast! the witches were every where and they were so cute! such a fun atmosphere and they have the cutest little shops.

so last thursday it was Graces birthday! i cant believe my baby is already a year old and getting so big. so in order to celebrrate her birthday, i threw her a family birthday party at my parents house! to start the day off, i took gracie to Toys R Us to pick out some toys for her birthday and she loved it. then we went to my moms house to get everything decorated and ready.. my mom had bought the cutest cupcake stand we used for all the cupcakes we made and we had tons left over! here are some pictures

FALL season is my favorite season of the year!! there is something about experiencing fall while living in Utah that makes fall the best time of year! i love fall and heres why:

soaking up the fall colors of the season

taking drives up provo canyon to see the fall colors

the cool crisp weather that fall brings with it

dressing in warmer clothes

haunted houses

going to pumpkinland this year so i can take gracie to get her own pumpkin :)

coming home on a cold day and making hot chocolate and cuddling up to a movie

putting up halloween decorations

going to corn mazes

pumpkin carving night with friends

keeping a fall scented candle burning so it makes my home smell seasonal

leaves falling on the ground

the list goes on and on but i cant ever get enough of fall season here in utah and so many fun things to plan!

lately ty has been having to work weekends instead of just the monday through friday workdays. its been hard having a husband who works 60+ hours a week and only seeing him if im lucky.. 2 hours a day. just recently he has started to work saturdays which is hard for me especially because i feel like a single mom.. literally. taking classes, trying to balance studying, being a mom, and being home alone all day with no husband can really be a challenge. but all the hard work ty does pays off in the end and im proud of what he does for our family.

labor day weekend

so labor day weekend was a lot of fun! even though i was sick and developed a horrible cough over the week,,we still did lots of fun stuff with family during the long weekend. On friday, my brother in law Terrell came down to go camping with ty at the ranch overnight. it was a lot of fun! since i didnt get done with school till 5 i went up to join them later on that night with hotdogs and a few snacks they could roast over the fire. the fun part was just being with family, enjoying each others company and being able to talk about whatever! then i left around 9. i stayed at my parents house because grace is still too young to go camping. then saturday i just relaxed and tried to rest my body to get rid of my bronchitis ( a week later and its still as bad as ever). monday ty and i woke up and went swimming at our pool then relaxed all day long while my sis in law wes and i left terrell and ty to watch the kids so we could go see the time travelers wife.. i dont think i have ever cried that much in a movie! im glad the guys didnt go with us so they couldnt make fun of us for crying :) even though laborday weekend was considered a long weekend, it still was too short because there is never enough time ever that i get to spend with my husband. also, i wasnt able to get any pictures of anything we did because i had lost my battery charger for my camera. i promise ill get better with the picture thing. haha!

what grace is up to

wow, my baby is almost 11 months! here is what she does and what shes learned:

-she crawls like a maniac and can pull herself up on everything like its no big deal!

- she says Ma-ma-ma ( still has yet to learn daddy)

- can eat so good! she loves eating yogurt bites and her banana puffs.. hates peas, pears and a few select others

- whenever i come in the room she gets so excited and squeals her head off.. its so cute :)

-she loves when grammy babysits.. she only wants to be with my mom when she sees her

- she learned really fast that her bedroom is HER OWN. she acts like she owns the place! we recently put a baby day bed in her room to read books on, play, etc... she always has to be next to her daybed and squeals so loud because she gets so excited its her own.

- she waves so good! she lieks to wave bye bye when she sees people leaving.

- she always has to be with me.. whether im getting ready for the day, doing dishes, she always comes over to me and pulls herself up on my leg and will jst stand there till i pick her up.

- she used to clap with one fist closed and the other hand open... i taught her how to clap correctly and now shes a pro.

- she knows what patticake is.. when i say patti cake to her she starts clapping every time i say it.. its our game.

- she gives " kisses" which are not really kisses, they are big giant licks. or she will bight my chin and thinks thats giving a kiss too.

and overall, she is a HAPPY baby! she always is smiling, laughing, squealing or playing with me. i love her with all my heart and she makes me SO happy! im so lucky to have her!

alright, well just an update on our little family.. everything and everyone is doing well. we have had so much going on these past two weeks i feel like i should blog. ty's job is going great for him, he works many hours but its worth it after that paycheck comes! just yesterday ty popped his knee playing soccer.. my poor husband, i swear every saturday after soccer he always comes home either with a limp leg or some kind of injury. i always tell him maybe soccer isnt such a good idea anymore, but i just joke because it is something he loves and its a great stress reliever for the weekend for him. just yesterday, we recently bought a tv stand for our new place so grace can't stand up and knock the tv down or get into our dvd's.. this will finally keep grace from getting into trouble! she is so cute she is such a crawler now. shes motoring everywhere now and always making messes! i spend all day cleaning up and having the house spotless then a few minutes later.. my house is a disaster! we have been meaning to buy a tv stand where we can keep our dvd's locked up and the tv more stable now. ty is so amazing, he even put together our new tv stand with a hurt knee!! i love him and am so appreciative of all his hard work.

Grace is about 10 1/2 months old now. i really cant believe how fast babies grow up.. i want her to stay small forever! like i said earlier, she CAN crawl.. its overwhelming at times but i am so proud of her learning how to do things and develop at a normal pace.. its only going to get harder as she learns to walk and soon will be impossible to keep track of. she is full of personality and spunk and i love that about her. i think she is going to be a lot like her dad when she is older.. she just reminds me so much of him already. its amazing how much my love for her grows every day. the morning she was born i had so much love for her, but it grows every day and i am so glad she chose to come to my family! she is definitely a mommas girl though.. she has already learned how to say ma-ma-ma and i looove it. i look forward to many more new things she will learn to do and i am proud to be a big part of it!

i have had many things going on lately.. family things and a lot of company have been my life lately. on the other hand, people have kept asking me about my leg problem from when i injured it in a skii accident two years ago.. i think the only way to be pain free forever is to get surgery to have the rod taken out. it causes a lot of pain every day and it affects my ability to walk and it keeps me from being able to exercise.. so i am debating whether or not surgery is what i should do. with school and being a mother i have my hands tied tight. i took classes during summer semester and they have been HARD work but i am getting through it. the summer semester is over in about 3 weeks and im thrilled!

trip to Powell

last thursday. .my fam took their annual trip to Lake Powell this summer! oh what a blast we had! ty couldnt make it because he had to work so i had to leave him behind in the middle of moving up to SP but he managed to survive. lake powell is one of my favorite vacations my family does in the summer because its such a great way to relax and soak up the sun all day! my dad owns a boat and gracie had never been on a boat before and she had such a good time. it was so cute and fun to see her enjoy the boat and water. we went thursday and left to go home saturday night. my aunts and uncles and their families all came with their boats and we just had so much fun tubing and wakeboarding! even though i tried to attempt to get a great tan to come home with for ty, it didnt work but at least i didnt get burned severely haha! hopefully ill get to go again in two weeks with the fam! pictures comin' soon.

we now live in saratoga springs!! we are loving it here! i found a cute condo that i fell in love with immediately and it has been so great for my family! its in hillcrest village and its such a gorgeous location. we do miss provo a lot and we miss living close to my parents because they have helped us so much but we are enjoying being a little bit farther away from home. sorry mom and dad! I think my favorite thing about our new place is that it has a pool! yes A POOL! if anybody wants to take a swim come on over!

do you ever go through one of those times where its like no matter how hard you try, you feel like you cant accomplish anything? well.. sadly thats how this first semester has been for me. i took some bit of time off of school because i had a baby and needed to get used to becoming a mom. i felt like getting a bit of a break was going to replenish my mind and i felt like i could get an A easy this summer block. well, this class has been extremely challenging for me and i feel like i have just been dragging my feet the past month and putting in SO MANY hours of the day and of my own personal time when i have a child at home to take care of. i have always usually done very well in al my english classes but this class has been throwing many curveballs in my face. i hate feeling like i dont understand anything, and when i try to understand, it only makes things more complicated. its been like this the past month with my class. but i guess thats how life is, right? sigh. well on the happier note, ty and i are officially moving the 27th of this month to saratoga springs. yes, i am excited because for the first time ever, i am going to be living out of provo. but ill be sad to not have my parents only minutes away from me. ill post pictures of our new place up soon. moving is probably the only thing that i am actually llooking forward to and it will be an exciting new adventure thats for sure.

so ok, it has been a while since i have really written something worth reading on this blog, but since it is late at night and i'm enjoying the quietness from Grace tonight, i figured i'd share some things that have been on my mind.
- so being a mother and trying to be a good housewife to my husband Ty, has really made me think about how precious life is and how we should be thankful for what we are given. one thing that i am so greatful for is how much ty has been my "Gaurdian Angel" here in life. for those of you who don't know my husband, he is SMART. he knows how to take care of certain situations that stress the heck out of me and that make me realize i have no clue how to take care of it properly or in a sane manner. things like figuring out our finances, making a budget for the month, how much our energy bill will be this month, etc. while Ty and i were dating, i never knew how to do all of this and ty who has been on his own a lot longer than i have, has had more experience with things that need to be done. no questions asked. then when we got married, it was all of the sudden my responsibility to create a budget for our family, set up my own insurance plans. i had no idea what i was doing and needed ty's help. As ty was doing all of this it seemed so natural for him and he knew just what to do. but as we've gotten older and grown a lot together as a couple, it has taught me so much that i needed to learn. im so lucky to have a husband who knows just what to do to look out and provide for our growing family. but learning from my husband has helped me as a person. i can say from Ty's example, i can't do it without my sweet husband. it has made me be a better housewife as well. also, i think having the maternal instinct has made me much more of a mature responsible woman. i believe in the importance of keeping a clean home, doing dishes every day and getting errands here and there done, so at night i can enjoy my time with my husband. i know it makes ty happy to see me doing what it takes to make us get through every day life that responsible people do and it satisfies me. i am truly a lucky girl to be able to wake up next to him every morning and have him in my life and i wouldnt want it any other way.
- also, being a mom is such an amazing blessing. i honestly don't know where to start on having Grace. i know i sound like im bragging when i say i have a GOOD and beautiful baby, and im sure every mom says that about their own child, but honestly, i lucked out on Grace. being a mother has taught me so much and it has helped me to become a better person. Grace is such a fun sweet baby and knowing that im the most important person in her life, fills a part of me. when im at work and i have to drop her off at my moms house every morning, i feel like a part of me has left. i know 12 hours of work a week is NOTHING, but when im at work sitting at my desk, all i can think about is her and how she must hate me for leaving her every morning. the moment from giving birth to grace, i somehow felt like a completely different person. i instantly started bawling holding my daughter for the first time because it was such an intense, spiritual loving experience. for those 3 days in the hospital, my mind shut off every care i had in me. my only focus was my child. when you are holding a sweet brand new baby you carried inside you for 9 months who directly came from heavenly father, you feel that presence. theres nothing like it. words cannot describe what i felt. But one thing i hate and breaks my heart, is women who are married and choose not to be a mother and not have kids of her own. having your own child is such an amazing experience and it brings such joy into your life that i just wonder, why don't they want that in their life? why skip out on the great blessings and happiness it brings into your life. i find it that its their own selfish fault for choosing not to have a family because it makes it harder on them. there are couple who are devastated at the fact they are not able to have children. i have very close girl friends who can not bear children of their own and its devastating to them and it breaks my heart to see them want something so much that they can not have. i feel like a horrible friend for having something my friends want and i wish there was something i can do to help them, but i can't.
- i cant wait to see what the future has in store for me and my husband, and im lucky to be able to have ty along with me forever.

Well, its official, TY is finally a college graduate!!! he has worked so hard and i am so proud of all that he has accomplished. graduating from college is definitely a challenge and it takes so much hard work and dedication! i am so lucky to have a husband and to be blessed. not only did he graduate, but has a GREAT job waiting for him May 11th! here are some pictures of our family, even tys parents came for his graduation all the way from california!

so this weekend is one of my favorite events that happens once a year.. DANCESPORT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! at the mariott center at BYU. i love love watching all the competitors dance and its so fun to see what ballroom is all about. i cant say i don't miss dancing back in high school on team but i know i will have just as much fun going to the comp this weekend!

Ty and i had a great valentines day! it was great to get to spend the day together. so for valentines, ty and i decided to go up to Gateway mall in SLC and eat at Tucanos for lunch, which tys brother terrell and his wife Wes babysat Grace for us while we enjoyed an afternoon all to ourselves! and tucanos was amazing.. i am not usually a big fan of tucanos with all the kinds of meat they give you but for some reason, i thought their meat was the best meat ive ever tasted. and to celebrate valentines day at tucanos they had a nice little table for two set up wiht a pretty red dining cloth and then give you a rose at the end. then after we ate, we stopped at the big theater at thanksgiving point and went and saw mallcop. it was so funny!! we sure had a great afternoon to ourselves and we are so thankful wes and terrell babysat for us with their 3 kids. valentines day was great!

Our Christmas

i can't believe how fast christmas has come and gone for us this year. Even though im sad to see Christmas pass us by again another year, i am thankful for everything that has happened throughout the holidays. this Christmas was especially good for me this year because i got to spend it with my family. My brother Robbie, his wife Jes and their little girl Bree got to fly out to Utah to be with us too. it was so great seeing them and it made my side of the family complete this year. so we got to spend a few days with them before we headed out to California to be with Ty's family. it was so nice to spend the holidays with them as well. so here is what went down during our trip to Cali. so the weekend before christmas was so fun because it was the only time my whole family got to be together for a few days.. my family is growing so much and its getting harder to get everyone together at the same time. Sunday we headed off to california to go visit tys family and we stopped in vegas for a night to be with my sister in law kirsti and her husban bret. it was so great to see them too because they always make us feel so welcome in their home.. i sure love them! then we got down to cali the next day and tys brother Trevor and his family were all there too. Taylor, Kaitlan and her fiance John were there as well too. it was great getting to know John better seeing as ive only met him once. so christmas eve rolls around and we all head over to tys cousin Tami's house in Corona and she has such a beautiful home.. i love that area its beautiful. we got together for a nice christmas eve lunch tami had put together for the skaggs and the rohms. i loved it because i got to get to know tys cousins more and they were so welcoming. christmas day we watched the kids open presents and tys mother cooked a wonderful christmas meal for us.. she is an amazing lady! i am so lucky to be blessed with inlaws who are so giving and welcoming into their family. then the next day ty and i headed to Six Flags magic mountain and it was soo windy and cold i regretted going at this time of year. we also headed to disneyland and spent a whole day at disneyland.. itwas a blast! i sure love the holidays and my FAMILY.

So anyone who knows ty or knows me, we would liek to announce Ty has accepted a job offer with Kiewitt !!!! we are so excited cant wait for this job. it will be so great for our family and we are looking forward to it. The job offer is in SALT LAKE CITY and we will officially be moving to the salt lake area in April of 2009 after Ty's graduation from BYU in construction management. good job babe i am so proud of you and i love you!!

Wow, Time flies by soo fast! it seems just yesterday i was in the hospital having this little baby. Grace just hit her two month mark and it has been so fun watching her develop and grow! well as a little update now on her, she has learned to smile so big and Coo. it is the cutest thing to see her interact with me and daddy and she loves a new face!! no matter who it is who comes to see her she will light up with a HUGE smile and coo her head off. i will try to post a video of her pretty soon!

Ty and I love this time of year! with all the holidays and everything going on in our crazy lives, we have SO MUCH to be thankful for and we are sooo blessed. there are just so many things that keep on coming at us and we are loving it. we sometimes dont realize all that we have and how lucky we are so i want to write about a few things. first off, i have an AMAZING husband Ty and i am so lucky to be married to such an amazing person! there are so many good qualities about him and it makes me love him more and more. i have never known anyone who is more willing to take time out of his busy schedule just to make life easier for another. he is such a good example to me and makes me want to better myself. After a lot of praying and thinking, ty recently just got a job offer with a great company in salt Lake city and we are so thrilled!! it is such a relief to our family. he will start his job as soon as he graduates this next april and we cant wait! we will be moving to sandy in april. Also, life couldnt be better without our sweet little Gracie. she is such a blessing to us and we love her with all our heart. when Ty and i are both having a bad day or a hard moment she makes everything better. theres nothing better than seeing her sweet face. life couldnt be any better.

On october 8, 2008 our sweet precious angel Grace was born. it was such a sweet thing! the spirit was so strong and everything just seemed to go so smoothly that night in the hospital. it couldnt have been better! so heres how it happened. Grace was due to be born on October 7th. so you know how when it gets closer to the due date you keep going in every week for a doctors checkup well every time i was told that Grace was more likely to come early than late and that made it so hard because it just made time drag on and the days more miserable. i was already extremely sick of being pregnant and couldnt wait any longer it was the hardest week of my life to have to sit around waiting for her to come. so October 7th finally rolls around and that morning i woke up feeling great not feeling a thing. i was so bummed out as you can imagine because i thought that for sure meant she would not be coming that day and she would be late. I was due for a doctors appointment on that day so i was so anxious to see what he had to say. so i go in get checked to see if i have dialated any because for weeks i was only at a 1 and that made me so frustrated because i was not getting anywhere with this baby!! so he told me that i would be lucky if she came that weekend after she was supposed to be due. but by monday if she was not here he would schedule for me to be induced. so i left the office being bummed out wanting to cry because i just wanted her to come SO BAD i couldnt take it anymore. so after my appointment my mom and i decided to go get some food at maglebys and sure enough right after i left the doctors appointment and gone to lunch, i started having contractions. SO MUCH FOR THE WEEKEND AFTER! the contractions got worse and worse and they hurt so bad where i knew this was it. so i went home and told ty it was time to go the hospital.. i was nervous because they had already sent me home before and i didnt want that to happen again. so we went to the hospital and i checked myself in for labor. we went in at about 6:45 and sure enough after monitoring my contractions, they let me stay! i was so excited but as soon as the nurse said "ok we are keeping you" my heart just stopped. i was so happy!! but so scared too. so when the contractions were so bad i couldnt take it anymore i got my epidural and it was heaven!! too bad it wore off for an hour because they didnt tell me to keep pressing the pump button when i started feeling anything. ughhhhh i wanted to die. haha. so i called my mom and said they are keeping me and she and my sister raced down to the hospital to meet me and ty there. 8 hours later, we had Grace Lee Rohm. it was such an amazing experience and i am so glad to be amother!

False alarm, ONE MORE DAY

So, as all of you know, TOMORROW is the due date for our baby to come. After many trips to payson for all those doctor visits, it has been really hard having to wait for her to arrive. along with all the contractions, which i have a hard time understanding and trying to pay attention to, it has been extremely difficult to wait day after day for her. It has been especially hard with me not getting any sleep every night the past two weeks and ty being gone at school for twelve hours at a time almost every day hasn't helped me much, i think it has just made things seem harder. just to let you know, we had a false alarm the other night around midnight. i was having bad back labor and contractions in the front, and they qualified for the correct timing. i for sure thought it was maybe time to head on over to the hospital thinking this baby was going to be here within hours. ty being a wonderful husband to me, got out of bed and drove me up to the hospital and stayed with me for five hours as i was being checked to see if i was dialated any and if i was in "real" labor. i felt horrible for ty having to sit in that uncomfortable recliner chair for the whole morning, not even knowing if the baby was going to come. so they hooked me up to the monitor for a while to look at my contractions. sadly, at 4:30 AM, we come to find out that she was not coming yet, so they gave me a shot of morphine and phenagram (sp?) which relieves the pain but WIPES YOU OUT! and i went home. you can only imagine how bummed out we were, since we thought it was the real deal and that we would finally have our baby here. but looking back, it may have been a little hard to deal with being sent home and a little embarrasing kind of, we were glad we had the experience to make us better. i just want to tell everyone how greatful i am for my husband who has put up with a lot of me and my silly emotions during these last few weeks. he has been my strength through all of this and i dont know how i would get through any of it if he wasnt patient with me. all the crying and crazy mood swings(hormones),because i have been so bugged and paranoid about everything with this baby coming, he still loves me :) THANKYOU HONEY I LOVE YOU!!
Tomorrow is the OFFICIAL due date for Grace Lee Rohm. we will keep everyone updated as to what the doctor says tomorrow at my appointment.

so i have decided i need to get busy and write on this blog some more, but my mom, ty, and i have been so busy with getting all our baby stuff ready and with doing that i have had no time to write on my blog. but once our new little baby gets here there will be more blog entries coming soon and a lot more pictures :)
so to keep everyone updated on us and how the baby is progressing here it is. i just had another typical doctors appointment this past tuesday for another check up on the baby. i have always gone to the office that Steve (who is my dads cousin) has here in provo which has been so convenient for me since its literally a block away from us. so this time he had me sent down to his office in Payson which has a lot more of his equipment and machines he uses for checking on the baby and doing tests and so forth. so as i was up at the provo office two weeks ago, he was worried about the baby looking so small and that there wasn't enough amniotic fluid for the baby so he had me sent down to payson. as i was having my check up, he was also worried that the stress level of the baby was really high and that may have been the reason for the baby being a lot smaller than average, so i had to do a stress test for the baby to measure the heartbeat and make sure everything went ok. it had me worried a little bit at first but i knew that nothing was wrong and it would all turn out fine. it just so happens the baby is in the 30 percentile of weighth and heighth so that means its small. he said it may measure small now but it could come out 8 or so pounds, its just hard to say. as he was talking to my mom and i, we were also told that there is a good chance the baby could come more early than being late. let me just tell you it is so relieving to have a good doctor who takes all the precautions to make sure everything is fine and also who is someone you can really trust. i hope this goes by fast because i cant wait to be holding our little baby grace in our arms and love her to death, also, it is so fun to see how excited Ty is about this baby coming. Ty is going to be such a good daddy i cant wait for him to meet his daughter.

this weekend my Brother Robbie, sis in law Jes, and their little girl Bree came up from st george to spend the weekend with us, it was so fun. we had a bbq up at the ranch with everyone on saturday night, including my grandparents who stopped by on their way from idaho.

then sunday we all got together one last time before robbie and jes head back to N. Carolina

ty, me and our friends ryan and amber came with us to the Real salt lake vs. byu mens soccer game tonight. it was so fun! im not usually one to be able to sit through a whole sports game but this was actually way fun and i'm glad i went! i almost didnt because of how tired and a little sick i have been feeling. but we had a lot of fun with Ryan and amber and their little girl Summer

so a few weeks ago, ty and i decided to take a fun short trip to california. we had both finished school and finals so we decided that getting away was just the thing we needed to relax before we both had to go back for school spring and summer term. Ty's parents live in california so we had a nice place to stay at for free and it was great! but to mention that it was my birthday a week before we left, my parents bought Ty and I tickets to go see Wicked in LA. that play was awesome!! i have never seen anything like it.. the stage props and everything about the play was amazing!! the music to the play was so fun and the actors did an amazing job in making the whole thing so enjoyable! i absolutely LOVED wicked.. if any of you havent seen it, i highly reccomend going!

We then decided to spend a whole day at the beach which was so relaxing and i got a couple of pictures of us at the beach

so i am finally figuring out how to use this blog thing.. you may all think i am retarded because i could never figure out how to use this!! hah.. well i figured it out :) so we have big news for everyone... we are having a baby on October 7th.. we are SO SO excited!! ive been to two doctors apointments already and at the first apointment they did, they just did an ultra sound which was so neat because we got to see our baby! here is a picture of our baby

So a few weeks ago was easter... it was a lot of fun but also sad because my husband was not with me on easter. my mom, brother and i traveled to arizona for a few days to spend easter with some relatives... we went down because everyone was in the mesa arizona easter pageant. here are a few pictures we took of the pageant
